What type of dental insurances do you accept?

Our dental office accepts a majority of dental insurance plans, including Aetna Dental, United Concordia, Humana Dental, Blue Shield Dental, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Dental, Careington, MetLife Dental, Mutual of Omaha, and several others. We also offer Care Credit and financial options for those with limited or no insurance.

What is a dental implant?

When individuals lose or have a severely damaged tooth, they may need a dental implant, an artificial tooth root made out of titanium. It will be placed into the patient’s jawbone in order to replace the missing tooth root and allow for a replacement tooth or bridge.

Will my new teeth look natural?

Most patients are extremely happy with the look, feel, and function of their new tooth following a dental implant. Not only will they be functional, but they will look and feel natural in your smile.

Am I a good candidate for dental implants?

In order to determine if you are a candidate for dental implants, Ladera Family Dentists will inspect your gums, teeth, and jawbone. If you are healthy enough to have your tooth extracted, you are likely a strong candidate to have a dental implant put in.

Is the implant procedure painful?

Not at all! Ladera Family Dentists will use a local anesthesia during the procedure to eliminate any potential discomfort. After the procedure is over, they may decide to prescribe a pain medication to ensure that you are not in pain once the anesthesia wears off. Most patients will feel minimal discomfort once they arrive at home, returning to work the next day with little to no noticeable pain.

How much will the treatment cost?

The total cost of your treatment will depend on numerous factors, such as how many implants will be placed in your mouth, whether or not a tooth must be extracted, the type of prosthesis being used, and other factors specific to your case. Once Ladera Family Dentists examine your oral situation, they can provide a more thorough estimate.

Will my insurance pay for implants?

This will depend on the specifics of your individual insurance plan. In some cases, you may be able to obtain additional coverage or extend your plan to provide more support. If you are interested, you can check with your insurance company to find out more details.

How long will my implants take?

Again, the specific of your case will determine how long your procedure will last. For example, if you have multiple implants that need to be put in place, it may take longer or require additional appointments. Since there are several steps involved in the entire implant process, the treatment time can vary from patient to patient. In general, patients can expect to have appointments over the course of several months. In some cases, however, implants may be placed and restored right away.
