Full mouth reconstruction is a procedure used to improve teeth aesthetics by restoring and replacing damaged, decayed, discolored, and / or irregularly shaped teeth to present white, well-aligned, and healthy teeth when smiling. This task is best performed by a neuromuscular dentist who is an expert in three sub-specialties: cosmetic dentistry, TMD (TMJ disorder), and restorative dentistry.
Any dental implant, including full mouth reconstruction, begins with an X-Ray and a thorough oral exam to establish a dental baseline. This is done to determine the condition of gums, teeth size / shape, the health of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and the entire mouth. Regular oral exams are necessary, as health complications could stem from an unhealthy mouth.
